ADVANCING the KINGDOM OF GOD in LAUNCESTON and SURROUNDS

Invermay Primary School blitz
Invermay Primary School - Backyard Blitz 2006

we did it - we blitzed the school!

A gift to the city on its  birthday from the churches of Launceston.
Altogether, over 600 volunteers and 70 businesses were involved in the project from start to finish and together we did over $500,000 worth of work.
FIRST OF ALL, THANK YOU TO THE LORD OUR GOD, WHO MOTIVATED US TO GIVE THIS GIFT TO THE CITY.  AS IT SAYS IN THE BIBLE, (ROMANS 5:5)"THE LOVEOF GOD IS SHED ABROAD IN OUR HEARTS BY THE HOLY SPIRIT"  Because of the amazing gift He has given us in His Son Jesus, we are able to give to others, and give generously. Let's pray that His love will continue to touch the hearts of those who have been blessed by our gift, especially those connected with Invermay Primary.
THANK YOU to anyone who made any kind of contribution to the Schoolyard blitz.  Every single one of you played a significant and valuable part in what was an extraordinary project.
We had  staff ,families and ex-students of Invermay and ordinary members of the public  who just wanted to be involved; members of a Lions Club; of a Bikies' club and a Rotary Club; students from the Australian Technical College in Burnie; and  nearly 500 members of local Christian churches some of whom are in business and who contributed hands-on staff onsite on Saturday 16th September 2006. That the Project grew and grew way beyond what we had first thought we could achieve, was only possible because of the generosity of all our volunteers and businesses.
